Chrono Trigger was the First SNES role playing game that I ever played (That's why its always my personal favorite). It has a vast array of graphics and not to mention the orchestra Square managed to fit in this game(They seem to be making a habit of this). In this page you will find stats on the game not to mention how to get its endings.
Chrono Trigger is based in the year 1000 A.D. it starts off with the main character, Crono, Being waked by his mother remind him to get up to go to the Millenial Fair. He does seem to want to wake up at first. (My guess is the he was partying the night before) After going downstairs his mother tells him his friend Lucca has a new invention that she wants him to see. After that she goes to the kitchen. DON'T FORGET TO GO BACK TO HER TO GET YOUR ALLOWANCE ITS 200GP. (Hey I wish my parents gave me an allowance but its too late now.)
Note: Crono is believe to be a mute...cuz he doesn't say anything in the whole game, though he does give an occasional nod or two.
After that he goes to the Millenial Fair and bumps into Marle. She drops her necklance and he gets it for her. She starts talking to him. He tells her his name(well maybe he does it in sign language or something cuz i don't see him tell her) and she says her name is Marle.
That's the story for now. I don't have the time(or patience to write the whole story even though I was abridging it.)

MARLE
MARLE MOVES IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS
One of the most coolest characters that SquareSoft has ever produced(not to mention my personal favorite) if you haven't noticed this is really Marle's second apperance in a SquareSoft game. She was in Secret of Mana but she had no name then. She is really Princess Nadia of Guardia Castle in 1000 A.D. But she is bored with always having to be in the castle and likes to go out of the castle looking for adventure.
She is an expert at the crossbow(Which might I add is my favorite weapon next to the Chakram). She is kinda and sweet though she is not a brain she is not dumb either. You'll notice in the begining of the game she has a crush on Crono(Don't ask me why maybe its his hair?) She has awesome healing magic and not to mention Ice Spells.

CRONO
IF YOU CAN"T SAY ANYTHING NICE SAY NOTHING AT ALL. HEY IT WORKS FOR CRONO.
Yes here you have him folks. The star of Chrono Trigger. Too bad you'll never get a peep outta him. Again It's just my opinion but I think he is a mute.(Not deaf cuz he can hear when they talk to him.) If you don't like him then your screw cuz unlike the FF series your stuck with this one. But don't worry half-way throught the game Lavos does a cool magic trick and makes him disappear LITERALY!
Now don't get me wrong I like Crono and all but damn it if he would just SPEAK! He has cool magic and is the most skilled fighter in the game. You can't do Triple or Double Tech's without him(Well Triple Techs you can do with the aid of a few special rocks hidden in the game) He is kinda cool and know's how to use a kitana. But for some reason he just seems doesn't seem to get along with some royalty (eg. King Guardia XXXI, Queen Zeal, Chancelor)
But hey you can't please everyone right?

LUCCA
SHE IS SO HOT SHE SETS YOU ON FIRE LITERALLY!
She is the second coolest person in the game. She takes everything with stride and never loses her cool. She handles that fire magic like a pro and not to mention that hammer(ouch) but if it wasn't for here you would still be in 600 A.D. Trying to get home. In a way her invention kinda started this whole time traveling mess but science has its ups and downs right. She lives with her mom and pop just south of Truce Village. Her mother can't walk because of accident that happened many years ago.
Lucca is binded to science and really doesn't give a damn about much else except for her friends and that little pesky job of saving the world! Though I can't give her an award on fashion but originality is a BIG PLUS.

MAGUS/JANUS
THE BLACK WIND BLOWS.....
Magus/Janus is one of the most interesting characters in the game he is your enemy at the beginning of the game but your ally towards the end. Fueled by his anger towards Lavos for destroying his home and the disappearance of his beloved sister Schala he joins you in your quest as soon as Crono is disposed of by Lavos. You can either except him or kill him its your choice but I always accept him. He has the strongest magic in the game "Shadow". You also meet him as a boy and meet his simpathetic side as he and Schala break you out of what is like a Magical Prison.
